DLH SECURES SEAPORT NEXT GENERATION CONTRACT FROM NAVAL SEA SYSTEMS COMMAND

DLH has received an award from Naval Sea Systems Command for their 10 year, $50B Seaport Next Generation Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) multiple award contract (MAC). The Department of Defense estimates the government will procure $5B worth of services annually, which includes a five-year base period of performance and a five-year ordering option. All awardees now have an opportunity to compete for individual task orders across 23 functional areas under the contract. These functional areas are broadly categorized into engineering services and program management services.

A key element that enabled successful pursuit of this opportunity was our great work on the Clinical Preceptorship Program with the US Navy’s Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED). A key requirement to winning this IDIQ contract was DLH’s experience and track record of direct and successful prime work with the US Navy where we have showcased our technical approach. Additionally, DLH put together a team of over 10 very capable companies with special certifications to enable a greater chance of successfully competing on task orders.

Zach Parker, President and CEO of DLH said “we have an enviable reputation in the US Navy’s BUMED in which we operate and with such a strong track record of delivery I am delighted to be taking on the challenge of helping to deliver our growth potential with Seaport Next Generation task orders.”
