DLH Medical Modeling and Simulation Account Executive to Present at Tech Grove Connect Webinar Series

DLH Medical Modeling and Simulation Account Executive Frank Karluk, MA, PMP, NRP will present at a Tech Grove Connect Webinar held on July 14, 2022. The session is titled “Augmented Reality in Tactical Combat Casualty Care: Physiological Ramifications” and is organized by NTSA, the National Training Simulation Association. DLH is an NTSA corporate member.

As augmented reality (AR) is increasingly adopted in settings across the globe, there is an increased concern surrounding the potential for physiological maladaptation following prolonged AR exposure. This is an issue of particular concern to the Defense Health Agency (DHA), which is a leader in deploying AR technology as a learning solution and care tool.

Design Interactive in partnership with the U.S. Army Medical Research & Development Command (USAMRDC) and the Joint Program Committee – JPC-1 at Ft. Detrick, MD undertook a study to explore key questions surrounding prolonged AR exposure. In this webinar, Frank and his co-panelist Claire Hughes, a Research Associate at Design Interactive, will discuss the outcome.
