Research Operations Specialist

Erin Van Fleet, MS, has over eight years of experience in public health research operations, with a strong background in nutrition and agriculture, focusing on the intersections of food systems, policies, and public health. In her current role, she supports disaster and environmental health research initiatives, including developing rapid research materials for use during environmental disaster responses. Erin has contributed to systematic reviews on climate change and health, with a focus on wildfires and extreme weather events. She also leads study operations, overseeing primary data collection, including surveys and biospecimen collection, as well as participant recruitment, interviews, and focus groups. She holds an MS in Nutrition from Meredith College and a BS in Nutrition from North Carolina State University.
