Genetic Factors Associated with Anxiety-like Behavior
DLH principal investigator and senior statistician Sandra McBride is among the authors of an article in Genes, Brain, and Behavior that describes an evaluation of responses by mice with certain known genetic characteristics to a number of tests designed to measure genetic susceptibility to major mood disorders. The results provide experimental support for the role of certain genes in the development of mood disorders. Other authors of the article include researchers from the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, University of North Carolina School of Medicine at Chapel Hill, Georgetown University, and Aichi Medical University.
