David Affeldt

Dr. David Affeldt serves as Corporate Strategic Technology Advisor. Prior to DLH’s acquisition of Grove Resource Solutions, Inc. (“GRSi”) in 2022, David served as the company’s President & Chief Executive Officer. In that role, he developed the company into an industry-leading technology innovator for the Health IT and National Security communities. His passion and commitment to people, technology, and client missions have been paramount to GRSi’s success and collaborative culture.

David has driven mission results for Government and Commercial clients through applied science and technology for 30 years. As a career computer scientist, Dr. Affeldt provides technical and organizational leadership that delivers best-of-breed technology and talent, with a passion for innovation and results to our clients. Prior to joining GRSi, he served in various CEO and CTO capacities for private and publicly traded technology companies, with portfolios valued as high as $1.1B.

Dr. Affeldt holds a B.S. from Towson University in Human Factors Engineering and Computer Science, an M.B.A. from Loyola University, a Ph.D. in Information Systems Management, and is CSM, PMP, and ITIL certified. David’s leadership in delivering health-research technology solutions have earned him and GRSi multiple Maryland Tech Council awards, including CEO of the Year (2019) and Government Contracting Company of the Year (2021).
