National Window of Service 2024: Our Impact
With this year’s National Window of Service for Veterans (NWS) now closed, let’s celebrate the incredible impact our employees made possible! Through energy, generosity, and teamwork, DLH honored and supported Veterans, active-duty Service Members, and military families in powerful ways.
DLH’s 2024 NWS Impact
500+ Meals Provided
Veterans and families in DC and Georgia received well over 500 nourishing meals, spreading the warmth of support and gratitude!
30+ Care Packages Delivered
Over 30 tailored care packages were sent overseas, bringing a taste of home to active-duty service members stationed far from loved ones.
Life-Saving Connections
Together, we helped connect Veterans with living kidney donors for transplants, a gift beyond measure, providing hope and life to those who’ve served.
U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Stand Down Support
Through our partnership with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), we proudly contributed resources and time to three VA Stand Downs in Charleston, Dallas, and Augusta. DLHers showed up to ensure Veterans received vital support and resources.
Supporting Military Transitions
DLH sponsored a career cohort for Military members transitioning to civilian life, helping heroes as they step into new careers and futures.
$800 Raised for Veteran First Responders
Our team stepped up to raise over $800 for Veteran-led first responders, aiding them in responding to recent hurricanes in North and South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida.
5 Nonprofits, 1 Mission
Our partnerships with the organizations 9/11 Day Foundation, Team Rubicon, Hero Box, The Honor Foundation, and DOVE amplified our impact and brought essential resources to Veterans and first responders.
DLHers United in Service
Over 50 DLHers participated in at least one NWS opportunity, and more than 20 colleagues made it all happen through our dedicated Tiger Teams.
100+ Veterans Connected
Altogether, DLH’s 2024 NWS directly reached over 100 Veterans from the East Coast to international bases. From meals shared to resources provided, our team’s commitment created real connections across the miles.
A big thank you to Team DLH for going above and beyond during this year’s NWS! With every care package, every meal, and every conversation, our team made a tangible difference in the lives of those who serve. DLH will continue to carry forward this spirit of service throughout the year as we uplift and connect with our Veterans and their families.
