Team DLH Attends Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Annual Ball
Members of team DLH recently attended the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Annual Ball on May 13, 2023. The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society works to find cures and ensure access to treatments for blood cancer patients. It is also the largest funder of cutting-edge research to advance cures for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease, and myeloma.
DLH is a proud supporter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, having participated for many years in their Light the Night Walks to eliminate blood cancer. During these walks, lanterns light up the darkness in support of survivors and in remembrance of those who died from blood cancer. In 2022, DLH raised nearly $2,000 for this important cause.
Mary Dowdall, AMS President, reflected on her time at this event and saw firsthand the impact that the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society has on individuals with blood cancer. “Witnessing and hearing testimonials of the lifesaving research makes me proud to be a part of DLH, and the DLH Cares program. I personally witness the daily passion that members of the DLH team bring to their scientific missions. I’m grateful for the work our researchers carry out, as it truly does affect the lives of millions in the most positive ways.”
Team DLH looks forward to continuing to support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and its mission to eliminate blood cancer.
