Traumatic Childhood Experiences and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
DLH senior research scientist Aimee D’Aloisio was among the authors of a poster presented at SLEEP 2018. The poster reported on a study of the associations between trauma experienced in early life and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome in adulthood. The study examined data from women in the Sister Study and determined that suboptimal sleep patterns may exacerbate these associations. Other authors included researchers from the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, University of Arizona, and National Institute of Minority Health and Health Disparities.
