Using REDCAP and Twilio to Increase Study Participation

DLH data manager Audrey Brown, PSM, was among the authors of a workshop at the 2018 REDCap Conference. The workshop described using REDCap and Twilio to communicate with research participants via their preferred channel (smart phone text, text conversation, voice) to increase response rates, participant engagement, and retention and allow for more flexible research design. Other authors of the workshop included analysts from Duke University, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, and University of Edinburgh.
